Abstract: 이 발표에서는 Software-Defined Storage (SDS), 그리고 그 안에서 이루어지는 Shared Memory Communication (SMC) 에 대해서 다룬다. SDS 는 storage software 와 hardware function 을 나누는 storage management 기술로, IBM 의 GPFS 가 그 예시이다. 이 안에서 이루어지는 SMC 는 동일 서버 안의 direct memory access (SMC-D) 와 다른 서버 간의 remote memory access (SMC-R) 로 구별되는데 naive TCP/IP 에 비해서 적은 cpu 사용과 낮은 latency 의 이점을 가져갈 수 있다고 한다.

프레젠테이션 슬라이드가 구체적으로 되어있어 이해하기에 용이했다.
Weak Points:
익숙하지 않는 도메인의 세미나를 영어로 듣다보니 깊게 이해하기는 어려웠던 것 같고, 전반적으로 weak point 는 딱히 없는 것 같다.
